KBS negotiated this 92,314-square-foot design/build retail facility.  Excel Engineering is the engineer for this project. The project was complete in November of 2004.

Challenges:
The project required a conditional use permit for construction which required numerous public meetings and approvals through the Village of Grafton.  The Design/Build process allowed KBS to work very closely with the owner and the village to circumvent potential delays in this process so as not to delay the construction schedule.

Site and foundation work commenced in late fall of 2003.  Above grade building shell construction was delayed over two months due to unseasonably wet spring weather, however, KBS reorganized the masonry and steel erection sequencing to overcome these delays.
