Marquette University Law School

Marquette University has selected KBS Construction to self perform the concrete and masonry work for there new project. Opus Corp will be Marquette Construction Manager for this project.  The building is 4 stories with 2 floors of Post Tension structural slabs 2 with structural steel and concrete toppings. The large floor plate of 53,000 sf. requires 5 pours of post tension structural slabs for each level.  The exterior walls on 2 sides of the building are designed for earth retention and will be poured full height with interior columns and short span cantilever slabs create a more complex post tension project than normal. KBS crews will use radius wall forms for the foundation walls on the 3rd side of the building.

This complex shaped of the building and the quality control KBS requires the use of there total station for most of the layout on this project.
